"english was invented by people, not computers, and its reflect the creativity of the human race(which ofcourse isn't a race at all)that is why when the stars are out they are visible, but when the lights are out they are invisible.."
one of my roommate(assamese)did her schooling from an assamese medium and is very much eager to learn english...she keep on asking questions..when did you learn english?how?who taught you?how much time does it take?and blah blah....i saw eagerness in her eyes and i do hope this very thing will take her far someday..
last night we gossiped for a long time(as girls usually do)suddenly she came up with a question...'moi tumak eta proshno hudibo kuju, jitu mur hridoyot bohut dinor pora asil'(ill ask you a question that is resounding in my head for a long time) she said'
"unwillingly we asked her to proceed, though we too need a tutor for ourself desparetely."
(1) why is it that when i wind up my watch it starts but when i wind up a story it ends?
well thats not enough, theres more.........do infant enjoy infancy as much as adult enjoy adultery?if love is blind, why is lingerie so popular?why is the person who invests all your money called a broker?why is the person who plays piano called a pionist, but a person who drives race car not called as racist?why are wise men and wise guys opposites?if horrific means to make horrible, does terrific mean to make terrible?why isn't 11 pronounced as tenty one?tang......tang(silence hour bell rang just on time p.....h....e.....e.....w...!!)hurriedly we retired to bed.gradually secound passed into minute and minute into hour, but still the funny side of the english remained undiscovered.
